CNN's N.O.R.E. has issued a challenge to fans and rappers alike to join his "100 Miles & Running" competition beginning next week which will feature him trying to meet a goal of completing 100 miles within 30 days.

Nore made the announcement Friday (August 28) afternoon.

"We gonna do a challenge," Nore said in a video. "A hundred miles in thirty days. SuperThugNore is my profile on Nike.com. If you want to get down, you can go and get these sneakers -- A hundred miles in 30 days so I want everybody on Twitter tweeting...I'll check out your profile -- and see what you guys ran. I'm a big guy so for me to run a hundred miles is crazy...I'm ready to jump on the scale with Busta [Rhymes], anytime he wants to jump on the scale -- a hundred miles and running, it's coming. September 1st to September 30th, sign up and get down if you wanna get a little bit more healthier." (YouTube)

He also promoted the challenge via his personal blog.

Nore will attempt to run 100 miles within the month of September in his '100 Miles & Running Challenge'. Nore will not vlog his progress as we have with his diet vlogs, instead, you can follow Nore on his Twitter (Twitter.com/Noreaga) and his My Nike profile (My.Nike.com/SuperThugNore) to see all his updates and progress. Add Nore on his Nike profile and challenge him. See if you can out run the Superthug. Challenge begins September 1st and runs through September 30th. Now check out some of his recent workout footage and introduction to the '100 Miles & Running Challenge.' Hang Hang. Oh yeah! And the bet with Busta is still on! (57th Ave)

Diddy also made a similar running challenge for his 2003 "Run This City" marathon charity run where he competed in New York's annual showdown.

P.Diddy is looking to raise money for a number of causes, including NYC school kids, an pediatric AIDS charity, and his own organization that mentors children. Diddy's sponsors include Nike, McDonald's, Foot Locker, MTV, Pinnacle Vitamins and Yucaipa book publishing, and while he did meet with Schools Chancellor Joel Klein and the Mayor, they will not be in attendance at P.Diddy's Niketown press conference. N.O.R.E. previously spoke on his unexpected weight gain last summer.

N.O.R.E. claims his issues with the music played a major role in his weight gain which later reached 310 pounds. "I was depressed from what I did with the Reggaeton and I don't regret what I did with the Reggaeton, I regret how it went down," he said in an interview. "But I became depressed." He says it was this depression that led him to eat until he was extremely over weight. (Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg's Morning Show)
