Lil Wayne has reportedly announced make-up dates for his missed United Kingdom shows last month which he canceled due to doctor's orders.
The rapper will head back to England this fall for two scheduled performances.
Remember when we posted about Lil Wayne's tour in Europe. And its subsequent cancellation, and Weezy F Baby's health reasons for its delay. Well it was true when we said that the shows would be rescheduled. Hammerstein Apollo concert hall in England has reported on their website that the shows will be taking place on the 7th and 8th of this upcoming October. Even better news for our readers from the UK is that the tickets from the July dates will be valid for these new dates!" (New Lil Wayne)
Reports of his canceled shows made headlines in early July.
Lil Wayne has postponed his forthcoming European shows, expected to kick off in Paris on Thursday (July 2), due to illness. Reports claim he needs some "doctor approved rest." The rap star was set to play seven dates in Europe over the next 10 days, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and two dates in London. (BBC News)
His camp issued a statement shortly afterward confirming the decision.
"Lil Wayne extends an apology to his fans for the short notice of this postponement," it read. "But looks forward to returning for the performances and visitation with his fans." (Statement)
Weeyz was originally set to kick-off to performances alongside rap newcomer Kid Cudi.
Adding a second performance to his touring plans after his first July 6th show reportedly sold-out for London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo venue, Wayne is now slated to perform the following day, July 7th, at the popular location. No word on whether or not Kid Cudi will be on-hand to join. (Ticketmaster)
No information has been provided on whether Kid Cudi will perform on the newly scheduled dates.
