Pop newcomer Lady Gaga recently spoke on her agreement with Kanye West to accept an "open" crowd at their upcoming tour as they prepare to hit the road together this fall.
An openly gay artist herself, Gaga recently revealed her pre-tour agreement conversation with Yeezy.
Before agreeing to tour with Kanye West this fall, Gaga told the rapper, "I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I'm gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it's gay. And I love my gay fans and they're all going to be coming to our show. And it's going to remain gay." That's another clause in the Gagaland constitution: Gay culture shall gush undiluted into the rapids of society. It shall not be co-opted, fancified, dolled up, or Uncle Tommed. "I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream," she says, "It's not an underground tool for me. It's my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay." (Out Magazine)
Gaga previously hinted at what fans could expect from her chemistry alongside Ye.
"It's been fun to work on the design of the tour with him," she said in an interview earlier this summer, "we're finishing each other's sentences. I love Kanye. Kanye is my very dear friend and we are creative kindreds. It's going to be one of the most ground breaking moments in touring history. I am sure of it." (BBC News)
NORE recently made headlines after saying fans should not be surprised by at least one mainstream rap artist being a homosexual within hip-hop.
"This industry is crazy," Nore said in an interview. "I'm not saying this to imply that Loon is gay, but this business is crazy. This sh*t will drive you to some awkward place. A lot of people thought Pharrell was gay, now I ain't gonna lie to you. At times, some of his friends that he hung out with were suspect but this man is not gay. Pharrell is not gay, bro. He's actually one of the horniest people I've ever met...Hey, Kanye might not be gay. I'm telling you that I think he does that sh*t on purpose for attention and it works for him, and it works for him." (VladTV)
Yeezy's upcoming tour with Gaga is reportedly set to begin this fall.
The tour will kick-off Sunday, October 4th from HSBC Arena Buffalo, New York and will run through Tuesday, December 15th at Mohegan Sun Arena Uncasville, Connecticut. The two-month nationwide tour will hit popular venues including Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, Verizon Center and United Center Chicago while states will include Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, Virginia and more.
