Ghostface Killah has confirmed recent reports of a possible Method Man and Raekwon collaboration album coming together by the end of 2009.

While a title has not yet been chosen, Ghost said the idea has existed for a couple years.

"They been wanting to do that for a while, maybe like the past two years," Ghost revealed. "I was always with it. I think that right now, everybody is in that position to do it now. I think within the next two months, everybody will start collecting beats. Everybody goes in-- he's got four songs, I got four songs, [Meth] has four. Start coming around like that and seeing what we can do. Make a little phat tight one. I told Meth the other day, 'It's gotta be phat and tight. We don't need 16, 19 joints on there. Nah, nah, nah -- 12 phat bullets. We do it like that, and that's it.' That's gonna happen soon. It will probably be out by the end of the year or January, and that's that." (MTV)

Raekwon previously hinted at the possibility of dropping more albums before year's end.

"Peace yall just seen the last visual of the Walk wit me video and its classic," he wrote via Twitter yesterday (July 6). "will be giving ya a teaser real soon! In the booth just recording some new records ya know i might drop 3lps before this yrs out i got to catch up But its bout OB4CL2 RIGHT NOW! Im just putting myself back where i belong! And that on Top! Yea but who heard bout that Mef, GHOST & RAE ALBUM, wht ya think bout that!" (Raekwon's Twitter)

Ghost is currently prepping the release of his next album, The Wizard of Poetry, which will mostly consist of R&B collaborations.

"I had the list in my head but my list ain't work," he told SOHH last month. "These R&B cats is wild yo but some people heard my work and they just jumped on it. Like John Legend, he heard what I was doing and he just wanted to get on it. Same thing with Raheem DeVaughn. I wanted Alicia Keys, I reached out to Avant. Tamia but you know how it is with women. They just stood the kid up. They ain't get back so I had to just go with the fellas." (SOHH)

In addition to music, the M-e-t-h-o-d Man is also hitting the big screen alongside Ne-Yo.

"It's a movie called Red Tails produced by George Lucas, directed by Anthony Hemingway," Mef said in an interview earlier this summer about his upcoming film. "We got Tristan Wilds, another Staten Island dude, we proud of my dude too. He's from 'The Wire,' he played 'Michael' on 'The Wire.' And we got Nate Parker, I think, like the new Denzel [Washington] black dude and stuff....We got Mekhi Phifer...They don't let n*ggas that smoke weed fly planes. I'm one of the mechanics. Matter fact, my character and Andre Royo...his character plays the guy in charge of all the mechanics. And yes, I do got lines. More than seven lines." (Radio Planet TV)

No further information on the upcoming project has been announced.
