Faboulous has announced a new Reebok endorsement deal in which the rapper will help debut a collection of kicks.
The deal will also allow Fab to headline a five-city Classic Remix Concert Series.
Fabolous, in partnership with Cornerstone Promotion and Foot Locker, will kick-off the series as the first one hundred fans in each city will be able to "buy a pair, get a pair" -- receiving a pair of tickets to a first-of-its-kind, exclusive, intimate Fabolous performance. Fabolous will personally meet with fans at Foot Locker locations throughout the US to promote Reebok's Classic Remix footwear collection and the Classic Remix Concert Series. Cities include, New York City, New York (August 24, 2009), New Orleans, Louisiana (August 26, 2009), Miami, Florida (August 28, 2009), Houston, Texas (September 1, 2009), and Atlanta, Georgia (September 3, 2009). Fab also confirmed the deal via Twitter Thursday (August 13) morning.
"Signed a endorsement campaign wit Reebok 2day," he wrote. "Also has 5 shows attached that i will perform in NY,ATL,HOU,MIA,NO.. told yall Rise & Grind!" (Fabolous' Twitter)
The rapper is the latest artist to sign an endorsement deal with a sneaker company, following in the footsteps of both the Wu-Tang Clan and Nas.
Rapper Nas signed a one-year deal with Fila showcasing him in their products and co-creating a clothing line resembling the late 80's fashions last summer. Despite his previous refusal to do commercial deals, Nas accepted this one due to his admiration he has had for the company since his days with slain friend Ill Will. (Billboard)
Aside from the deal, Fab recently celebrated his new album Loso's Way debuting atop the charts this month.
Fabolous' Loso's Way debuted at No. 1 this week with 99,000 copies sold throughout the country. Following behind the Def Jam artist's release was Daughtry's Leave This Town which pushed 62,000 and Maxwell's Black Summer's Night at No. 3 with 55,200 sold records. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
