News: Diddy, DJ Drama, Slaughterhouse, Skillz & More Remember DJ AM, "I Can't Stop Crying" [Video]

Diddy, DJ Drama, The Roots' Questlove and more have shared their disbelief and paid homage, via Twitter, to the memory of DJ AM who reportedly passed away Friday (August 28) afternoon in a New York City apartment.

Questlove initially shared his confused reaction and overall shock of the deejay's death.

"AM???!!!! WTF!!!!!!!," he wrote. "It's one thing to lose a teacher I never met. But it's some other sh*t to lose a teacher I knew." (Questlove's Twitter)

DJ Kid Capri also acknowledged his fellow deejay's memory.

r.i.p. my brother dj am, i have footage with my g on you tube at club l.a.x. he was a good man, may the angels fly upon you great one," Capri wrote. "my prayers to his family." (Kid Capri's Twitter)

The Lox's Styles P sent a personal message to his loved ones.

Diddy also shared a similar reaction.

Virginia-based emcee Skillz expressed his difficulty dealing with the news.

"????????????," Skillz typed. "I can't breathe. He was my friend...I cannot blv that I will neva c him again. I can't stop crying. Thinkin of ppl who r doing the same thing right now. just dawned on me d when u play The Million Dollar BackPack DJ AM's voice is the 1st voice u hear. U hear him on my album b4 u hear me. This hurts...Thanks guys for the words of encouragement, hvn a hard time. But we never know Gods plan. I'm chkin outta twitter. Thanks again. 1." (Skillz's Twitter)

DJ Drama also Tweeted one of DJ AM's last Twitter messages.

Reports of his passing landed online Friday afternoon.

Law enforcement sources tell us DJ AM -- also known as Adam Goldstein -- was found dead this afternoon in New York City. Sources tell us he was found in his apartment at around 5:20 PM. We're told drug paraphernalia was found at the scene. Our sources say DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days -- one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door. We're told the friend called the police, who broke down the door and then found DJ AM's body. Sources tell TMZ prescription pill bottles were found by DJ AM's body this afternoon. We're told his body was found at around 5 PM this afternoon at his apartment in New York City. (TMZ)
