The Game recently spoke on the making of his Michael Jackson tribute song "Better On The Other Side" and how he was able to get Diddy and Chris Brown on the same track with short notice.

Taking credit for coming up with the tribute record, Game said he reached out to DJ Khalil and then began making his rounds with the featured artists.

"I started reaching out to Diddy," Game said in an interview. "He's on a set 18 hours a day, but he said he'd get it done some way, somehow. Talked to Chris Brown. He and [his manager] Tina Davis said they were on their way to the studio -- so they told me after I do my part, to bring it over and Chris will do the hook. Before I took the beat over to Chris, Boyz II Men walked into the studio randomly -- so they took it to their studio next door, laid down all the background vocals. Then I took it to Mario [Winans], then I took it to Diddy. In the meantime, me and my boy Taydoe -- we running around to the hospital, to the Jacksons' house, to the star on Hollywood, getting all this [secondary] footage [for the video]. Crazy...All the proceeds of anything that I do that has anything to do with Michael Jackson will go to his family and his children. And that's just the bottom line." (CNN)

Early behind-the-scenes footage of the forthcoming music video spread online last week.

"With nearly five minutes of footage, both The Game and Chris Brown are seen in various screen shots recording their tribute song in a studio. The West Coast emcee also appears to be getting a Michael Jackson tattoo and is seen in a bath tub with a bottle of liquor and note pad. Other shots include fans, kids and adults alike, wearing shirts with Jackson's face, dancing, smiling and keeping the singer's memory alive." (SOHH)

The music video's director, Taydoe, has weighed in on why he joined forces with Game for the tribute song's visual representation.

"I got the bad news about MJ and I called Game, since I know he was a fan of MJ also," he wrote in a statement. "He said 'I gotta pay my respects. I'm doing a tribute song!' My first thoughts were to edit a tribute video from Taydoe TV. When he came up with this brilliant idea, it was only right to collaborate and direct a video to accompany the song. I sent one camera to the hospital, one camera to the house and one camera to the studio to ensure we cover all avenues on this day. During the editing process, the footage was so monumental in the sense that everyone was together and enjoying each others love for MJ. I enjoyed the process of directing this tribute video and feel honored to be a part of history." (YouTube)

Game's tribute song features Puff, Brown, Winans, Usher and Boyz II Men.

"You're Michael Jackson, I'm Michael Jackson," Game raps. "We all Michael Jackson, I guess what I'm asking, is everybody bow their head for a legend/Don't breathe for a second, now let air out, grab the hand of somebody you care about/So you can hear my message, hear my confession/Everybody tell Usher, I seen a moonwalk/Guess the young Thriller touched him/He touched me, like he touched you."
