Bad Boy protege Mase has shown his return to the rap game is official with the release of a new song called "Thinkin' Bout You."

The song places Murder Mase behind the mic and following-up his latest "Girlfriend" remix he did with Trey Songz.

"Hello world, I got something to tell you," Mase says on the song's intro. "You ready for me? This ain't swagger/This who I am/Somebody please tell 'em who I am/Mr. Club Jumper 'til 4 a.m./How many times I'm gonna tell you/Now I'll be your knight and shining armor/You right that I'm a charmer/Your life is full of drama/You remind me of my mama/I'ma have you somewhere so far from the Bahamas...True diva/Crew meet her face/Cute enough to sit 'er in the two seater/Now the chicks wanna date us, of course they hate us/Car, black and grey and make us look like the Raiders..." ("Thinkin' Bout You")

Mase recently said Michael Jackson's unexpected passing sparked his return to the rap game.

"I'm just excited man," Mase said in an interview. "I'm excited. Mike passed away, it just lit the fire up under me, made me wanna go to the studio and do something. So I asked my little nephew, 'Who is the hottest thing out there?' He said Drake and I said I got to see what record he got and when I listened to it I said 'Okay, I'ma jump on the joint.'" (Power 105.1)

His comeback was heard last month via a verse on Drake's "Best I Ever" remix.

"I said girl so beautiful, down to the cuticle," Mase raps, "I can't explain it, everytime I take a picture with you, I wanna frame it...Please don't re-arrange it, I could be your prosecutor, you can be my plaintiff/You could be my coffee girl and I could be your danish/You already camera-ready, you ain't even famous...I'll move you out the 'hood for good/Not ask that brother if he would he could/Mase won't lie to you, when I say I'm good, I'm good/Strawberry or canary, tell me how you want your wrist/It's Mase and Drake, promise you'll remember this." ("Best I Ever Had" remix)

He also made headlines after re-linking with Cam'ron for the collaboration "Get It."

"You ain't see this one coming," Mase said on the song's intro. "Man we so hungry...Harlem, Killa. Do it now. We're back for sure, the black Lyor/Chicks wanna sip from any glass I pour/Louis dress shirt, Gucci expert/My net worth make chicks wanna network...Bounce like a baby from a roof top/Or find me in the lair/Flying in the air, fine designer wear/diamonds in my ear, drama I don't wanna hear...they like if I come back I get 50 percent, nah, if I come back I need Diddy percent." ("Get It")
