Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris has cleared the air on his next album being called Cineplex and promised his joint collaboration project with Shawnna is still on deck.

Luda denied past reports on his seventh album's title and called it merely a rumor with no truth to it.

"It must be the biggest rumor in the world," Luda said about his next album being called Cineplex. "It's just really frustrating when somebody puts a rumor out and everyone goes with it. I never remotely said anything about something called Cineplex. Dead that sh*t. It's Ludaversal. That's what comes after Battle of the Sexes." (Rap-Up)

Reports earlier this month said the project would be called Cineplex which would play on his last album title, Theater of the Mind.

The rapper will stick with the film-based thematic unity of the album for his projected 2009/2010 release of Cineplex. Cineplex will be designed with a theatrical concept in mind in which each track will have a thematic purpose, much in the way which a scene in a movie does. Ludacris also suggested that, instead of having featured artists (as the traditional conceptual style promotes), Cineplex will have co-stars, confirming appearances by Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Katt Williams, Young Jeezy, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Kanye West, Alicia Keys and others as well. His current album dropped on the same day as Kanye West last November.

ATL rapper Ludacris hits this week's charts as Theater of the Mind opened up at No. 5. Despite not securing that number one spot, Luda's sixth solo project was able to scan 214,100 in its first week. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

Luda recently spoke with SOHH about the launch of his new Get Yours cologne with Tag Body Spray.

"They approached us saying that there was an opportunity where I could design a can and endorse a fragrance," Luda explained. "It's something that is uncharted territory for me so I was definitely interested and then once they talked about a charity, that's my soft spot. I'm definitely a fan of the brand and I wanted to help make history with them." (SOHH)

Ludaversal is reportedly set to drop in 2010.
