Jim Jones, like The Game, has reacted to Jay-Z's controversial freestyle rap by asking fans if they thought the rapper's name-drop was an attack or just a casual mention.
Speaking via Twitter, Jones expressed his overall reaction to the alleged Blueprint 3 introduction verse.
"Question," Jimmy wrote. "if someone says in the song I'm not talkin bout jimmy is tht not talkin bout jimmy lol we r back in business people." (Jim Jones' Twitter)
Jay also struck a cord with The Game who felt he was name dropped in the freestyle.
"DO YALL THINK JAY-Z IS DISSIN ME ?," he wrote. "YALL LISTEN & TELL ME WHAT YALL THINK ?!?!? & THEN WE CAN DECIDE HIS FATE !!! AIGHT SO, AFTER ABOUT 10,000 RESPONSES.. THE RESULTS READ THAT HE AINT DISSIN ME. & AS BAD AS I WANT TO RESPOND TO HIS OLD AZZ, HE CAN SLIDE" (The Game's Twitter)
Jay's Las Vegas freestyle touched on other past associates including Jaz-O and Damon Dash.
"For what people be talking about all the time," Jay raps on-stage. "Are we talking about fiction or are we talking about fact/You talking about fiction, hold up, pardon my back/I'm talking about life and all I hear is/Oh yeah he's talking about cripe/I ain't talking about profit, I'm talking about pain/Talking about the city, talking about shame/I ain't talkin' about gossip, I ain't talkin' 'bout Game/I ain't talkin' about Jimmy, I ain't talkin' about Dame/I'm talkin' about real sh*t, this here is pain/Whatcha talkin' about, I don't know what y'all saying/Dudes keep talkin' about/'Hov take it back'/I'm doing better than before, why would I do that...People trying to re-write history let's talk about that/Dame made millions, even Jaz made some scraps/He could have made more but he ain't sign his contract." Jones recently spoke on his issues with Jay and the rapper's "Death of Autotune" record.
"We're getting money off of autotune, it's just sounding like somebody's trying to knock a hustle and I don't think that's a little bit gangster if you ask me," Jones explained in an interview. "We getting money. He's knocking the hustle, ya dig? If these young men are making money off of autotune why would you try to stop that, when you got all the money already? I seen him [at Summer Jam], I don' think he wanted to see me. He almost stopped the whole concert because he said I was in the way of him getting on stage and all of that. But that's politics for the game, ya dig? How you doing? We back, we ballin', we poppin' champagne." (106 & Park)
