Ja Rule recently spoke on the status of his comeback album and what role the fans will have on the forthcoming project's title.

In addition to speaking on the fans' support, Rule also confirmed his unreleased Mirror album was leaked.

"New album coming soon," Rule promised in an interview. "I think I'ma do something for the people where y'all help me with the title of my next album because I was gonna name my sh*t The Mirror but...the album got leaked...I think I'ma do a contest or something where I get the people to give me their feedback on what the album should be called...Keep talking, the album's coming. All y'all hater n*ggas, I love y'all. Keep running your mouths. Y'all n*ggas are helping my cause, keep up the good work." (Forbez DVD)

Rule initially announced his comeback and new jewelery line in an online video last winter.

"New album coming real soon, I ain't gonna give nobody no dates," Ja said in an interview. "None of that 'We pushin' it back, we pushin' it back' so I ain't giving y'all no motherf*cking date. It's coming real soon. We finishing it up. It's f*cking crazy. Y'all n*ggas get ready. We gonna have a good time this year...[I got a] new jewelry line coming real soon. No longer a signed artist to Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. label, Rule promised his relationship with the rap mogul has not changed.

"I'm working, I'm not in a rush," he revealed in an interview about his forthcoming project. "I'm in the studio working every day. I'm about to go in the studio and work right now and finish up on the album. The album's coming out incredible. It's very different. I wanted to make it special. I wanted the album to be out of this world, and it's definitely shaping up to that. I'm not in a rush. I got a new situation -- my Empire Music Group. Gotti's got Murder Inc. We're both still together -- there's no separation. We're both together doing what we do, but I got my own situation and I got new artists. We're putting it together." (MTV)

Rule's upcoming project will replace The Mirror which was originally slated to drop in 2007.

From 2005-2007, as Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. operation fell into shambles, Ja Rule was quiet; he charted no songs on the Billboard Hot 100 during this time period. Toward the end of 2007, he attempted a comeback, first with "Uh-Ohhh!", featuring Lil Wayne, who was perhaps the hottest rapper of the moment, the song nonetheless stalled at number 106 on the Billboard 200. A couple other singles ("Body," "Sunset") also failed to garner significant airplay, and the planned November 2007 release of The Mirror was pushed back. (All Music)
