Fabolous has hinted at an upcoming reality show and has reached out to fans for feedback for his various concepts.
Aiming to make the projected program more serious, F-a-b-o pointed out why he would avoid doing any reality shows similar to Ray J or Flavor Flav.
"Since im n Hollywood, took some meetings & u might b see ur boy Loso n a reality show soon," he wrote via Twitter. "No looking for love sh*t tho. Yall ready 4 that? We hav a idea but its not 100% yet.. U twiggas got any reality show ideas 4 me.. What do yall see my show being about??? I definitely want my reality show is b more documentary than nicknamin chicks & makin them do stupid missions to prove they love me..Hav a great idea, & i think yall'll love it. Cant tell it yet bcuz we havent shot it yet & dont want this sh*t 2 get out like Loso's Way did. Its definitely gon b somethin tasteful, & genuine. As u can c n all the videos, trailer vids, & stuff im bringin, i like shit 2 look right. Dont get me wrong, its funny seein Flavor, RayJ, & New York makin people do & say silly shit. But thats not Loso's Way. July 28th by the way." (Fabolous Twitter)
Fellow Brooklyn, New York-based emcee Maino has also spoke about a possible reality show he has under wraps.
"It's 90 percent solidified," he said. "This is why I haven't really spoke on it because it's not etched in stone yet. But there's something reality-based and around MTV 'ish. It's about a white dude, he doesn't come from my culture. He doesn't understand the rap game, he doesn't understand what it means to be a rapper everyday. He lives with me and tries to like, understand what goes on in our world...Nothing I do is scripted. So if you see smack somebody then maybe it's really going down." (Shade 45 Lip Service)
G-Unit's Lloyd Banks is following the same route moving from music to television.
"We are in talks right now for my own reality show," Banks revealed in an interview. "I don't know man...if that becomes a go then I'll definitely take that approach. You'll definitely see me on the screen soon. I have some scripts and things on the table. I'm a writer also so I like to create my own thing too. As an artist I don't want to limit myself, I want to write the screen and produce it and everything too." (Hip Hop Canada)
In addition to those programs, rappers Plies and Jadakiss have also been tagged to launch their own reality shows.
"I got this show coming on BET finding a new deejay," Jada said in an interview last spring. "I'm gonna go to Chicago, Miami, Cali, Atlanta, Philly. Pick some males and females, bring 'em back to [Yonkers, New York] and put 'em in the house and make 'em do some P.Diddy sh*t and see what happens...I'll make 'em dig in some crates and find some wax, see who can really rock two turn tables...See if they can make a beat...And then whoever wins can really become my deejay and go out on tour with me. We'll probably start recording in two or three weeks or so...Nowadays the rap game is just a stepping stone to do other things." (iHipHop)
No further information on Fabolous' possible reality show has been revealed.
