Earl "DMX" Simmons was reportedly freed from an Arizona jail after 90-days behind bars on drug and animal cruelty charges.

While an official statement has yet to emerge, a rep for the rapper has reportedly confirmed his departure.

Yonkers Hip-Hop star DMX is free after serving over 90 days in jail on drug, fraud, and animal cruelty charges, a representative said. The rapper was released from Tent City, aka the Maricopa County Jail, late yesterday (May 13) afternoon. (All Hip Hop)

X was recently rumored to star in the new season of "Celebrity Rehab," however, his publicist has since denied these reports.

"Several media outlets have reported that my client Earl Simmons, aka DMX has signed on to appear in VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab Reality Show,'" a statement reads. "These reports are false and Mr. Simmons has not greed to appear in any reality show. Mr. Simmons is currently serving a 90 day jail sentence at Tent City Jail in Arizona . He has expressed great appreciation to the overwhelming amount of support he has received from his fans during this difficult time. He would like his fans to know that he is taking this time to focus on his personal as well as spiritual growth, and is looking forward to being released soon." (Hip Hop Press)
He was recently ordered to pay $240,000 in damages for a 2004 roadside assault against a man at JFK International airport in New York.

The jury also found the rapper liable for causing emotional distress to the man's mother and his 12-year-old daughter. The victim, Sergei Priporin, who had his mother and daughter in the vehicle, said Simmons then assaulted him and tried to pull him out of the vehicle by claiming to be an FBI agent. Simmons was arrested by Port Authority police after crashing through an exit gate while fleeing the scene. He later pleaded guilty to criminal charges in the case. (Lower Hudson News)

X was given his 90-day sentence around January 2009.

Commissioner Phemonia Miller sentenced the rapper last January, whose name is Earl Simmons to 90 days in jail with no credit for time he has already served. Miller said, "I'm not sentencing DMX today, I'm sentencing Earl Simmons. I don't know DMX. Mr. Simmons, it's time to do something different. What you have been doing is not working." (AZCentral)

Calls to Tent City Jail and X's lawyer, Richard Corde, have not yet been returned.
