Snoop Dogg's Our World Live concert last week fell short of fans' expectations as guest appearances by Dr. Dre and Eminem were absent from the event.

The no-shows by Em and Dre began with Dre's bodyguard issues.

Because of the bad weather, Dre's security detail got into a car accident, and the rapper was advised not to attend without bodyguards. Eminem's reasoning was slightly more junior-high. "Since Dre couldn't make the concert, Eminem didn't want to perform either," an insider told New York's Daily News. To make it up to his longtime pal, Dre plans on performing at a private club gig for 200 guests next month. (New York Daily News)

The showcase took place last Tuesday (April 7) from Los Angeles.

Rapper Snoop Dogg was the headlining performer at the "Our World Live" concert in Hollywood at the Avalon. The event, sponsored by Microsoft, was broadcast live via Microsoft Silverlight in HD including 5 camera angles that the fans can choose between to customize how they personally see the show. It's just like being there, but probably a bit better since there's no such thing as a "bad seat." Guests included Vida Guerra, Kevin Hart, Eva Marcille and Raz B. (Gossip On This)

Despite missing Snoops's concert, Em is scheduled to perform at next month's 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Eminem has been tapped to perform at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, airing live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, May 31, at 9 p.m. ET. Andy Samberg will host. Viewers can vote online and on their mobile phones to select the nominees for the 18th annual Movie Awards. (MTV)

In addition to his new album Relapse hitting stores next month, the rapper has also announced a follow-up project before the end of 2009.

"A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year," Eminem said in a statement. "I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff." (Press Release)
