News: LL Cool J & Common "Sidekick" For Nationwide Tour

LL Cool J, Common, Estelle and more have been announced to headline the nationwide Grammy Celebration Concert tour this spring.
Taking place in five major cities, the tour will feature a variety of music acts.
Presented by T-Mobile Sidekick artists include Kelly Clarkson, Common, Estelle, Lady Gaga, Leona Lewis, LL Cool J, Katy Perry and Gavin Rossdale. In addition, the resident DJ for the entire tour will be recording artist and "American Idol" runner-up Blake Lewis. Grammy nominees Leona Lewis and Gavin Rossdale kicked off the tour in Los Angeles, performing at the Hollywood Palladium for thousands of fans on April 9. The tour will then move on to San Francisco at The Warfield on April 14 with Grammy nominee Natasha Bedingfield and N.E.R.D. (PR Newswire)
Each venue is set to feature multiple performances.
Scheduled for intimate locations including Serramonte Mall in Daly City, CA, the 2nd Annual Grammy Celebration concert tour will feature chart-topping American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga at Boston's House of Blues May 4th. The tour will make rounds throughout the month of May with stops in Miami, and San Francisco before wrapping up May 28 in New York City. The tour's conclusion, set for 7th Ave and 48th St. and 163rd and Jamaica in Queens, will feature LL Cool J and "American Boy" singer Estelle. (Singers Room)
Fans will be able to bypass purchases through contests and giveaways.
A limited number of tickets for each performance will be available through special in-store contests, sweepstakes and giveaways at two T-Mobile retail locations in each of the five concert cities. Cities include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Miami and New York City. The T-Mobile Sidekick website will also include exclusive concert event information, photos and activities, including the chance to enter to win a VIP concert package in each tour location. (Grammy)
Aside from music, LL is set to star in the upcoming "Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)" television series this spring.
LL will play a tough but charming former Navy SEAL who works undercover for the NCIS unit in Los Angeles, California and is an expert on the Middle East. "NCIS" show runner Shane Brennan created the untitled spin-off and executive produces for CBS Paramount Network TV. (Variety)
