Dipset's Cam'ron recently spoke about his falling out with Jim Jones and what really went down behind the scenes of their alleged phone conversation.
Speaking with radio personality Angie Martinez, Killa broke down the reasons why he has distanced himself from Jones.
"It's a wrap," Cam explained. "I called Jim. Everybody kinda not been speaking for three years anyway, it just got in the public. Once a problem gets in the public for me, it can't be fixed...The first public joint was he called Miss Info talking a bunch of stuff I don't even like to repeat...Going on stage with 50 [Cent] when me and him are in the middle of a heated battle, that was another thing...Recently, about a month ago, I called [Freekey Zeeky's] phone, I speak to Jim, I say cool, maybe we can work some stuff out, I was really at the point we could really work some stuff out, like three minutes before I did a MTV interview...He gets on the radio and be like, 'No, me and Cam didn't speak, I don't know what he's talking about'...Three days after that, he says he did speak to me on the phone, but my whole thing is, why lie about a phone conversation." Aside from originally denying a phone call, Jones has revealed his interest in doing a Diplomats album with Cam.
"I'm only one piece of this puzzle, there's three other players," Jones said in an interview. "I think there's two other people who are in...I'm willing to get another Diplomat album done for the sake of us being selfish these past few years and change and our personal differences. It's been more to it, it wasn't just us that made Diplomats happen...for that, I think we owe it to ourselves and a lot of other people...A Diplomat album can't be done without everyone's participation, everybody feeling the same way about making this thing happen." Cam recently released a video turning down a Dipset reunion.
"Look, I hear the deejays, I hear the fans, I hear everybody," Cam said in an interview. "I'm not doing a Diplomats album. I'm not rhyming with Jim or Juelz [Santana] or nothing. I wish them all the best of luck. Accept it people. The people don't wanna seem to accept it. I don't have time to do that, it's not happening, I'm not doing it." (NowWutTV)
With his upcoming Crime Pays album slated for release next month, Cam is also working on a few film projects.
"First movie's called The Bakery featuring my man Bang," Cam said in a recent interview. "It's just basically about trafficking drugs from state to state. And of course I got Killa Season 2 coming out this fall. Killa Season 2, we shot a couple scenes but I haven't really been working on it. I have a date to shoot in June, from June 5 to June 25 I believe. Then it'll take me about two weeks to edit so it'll be on point. I've shot about two or three scenes that I'm gonna keep for that. I did Killa Season 1 like that, I direct, produce, starred in, edited, I did everything...I'd rather write my own movie and act in my own stuff." (Real Talk NY)
