Snoop Dogg has offered a spot on his weekly variety show "Dogg After Dark" to troubled couple Chris Brown and Rihanna to discuss their publicized relationship.
The West Coast rap veteran's invitation would allow the duo as guests on his 30-minute program.
"I would definitely have them on the show," Snoop said in an interview. "Or anyone that is in the music or entertainment world...I would have to have Dr. Phil on the show because that's not my section or department, but I'm sure Dr. Phil would have some advice," he said. Jokingly adding that if Dr. Phil wasn't available he "would get Dr. Dre to come on the show for them." (Hollyscoop)
Snoop's invite comes just days after Brown appeared in court for a post-poned arraignment.
He had been charged hours earlier by Los Angeles County prosecutors with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. He was arrested nearly a month earlier after police said he was involved in an early morning altercation with a woman who identified the him as her attacker. Court records list Brown's victim as "Robyn F." Rihanna's real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty. She was not present in court but was represented by an attorney. Brown re-appears in court April 6. Despite the media attention, Rihanna has, reportedly, begun recording new music.
"You have to remember, she's a kid still," her producer Adonis said in an interview. "So with anybody who goes through something in the world, you have to bring yourself out of it so I guess her refuge is her music...She always brings her best whenever she steps onto the stage or the studio. This is definitely going to be an eclipse of what she's done before. It's going to be hot." (Hip Hollywood)
Snoop's weekly variety series, "Dogg After Dark," features a combination of comedy-filled antics.
...featuring raw interviews with A-list celebrities, hilarious sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the hottest artists, plus Snoop's own in-house band, the Snoopadelics will keep the party rocking all night long. (MTV)
There is no word on whether Rihanna or Brown have accepted Snoop's offer.
