After engaging in a rap battle with Amalgam Digital artist Joe Budden earlier this year, Saigon has confirmed a new business venture he's created with the company.

The self-proclaimed "Yard Father" described his situation with Amalgam via a MySpace blog.

"Did I sign a traditional recording deal with Amalgam Digital as an artist," he wrote. "The answer is NO... What I AM doing with Amalgam Digital is entering a unique, never been done before business venture where they help market promote and distribute some of my many projects...First of all, Amalgam Digital is NOT a record company but a New Media outfit...They seen my creative vision, believe in my vision and we entered into a non-exclusive partnership that will bring it all to life....I am nobody's artist." Sai's first project with the company is set to drop later this month.

Fans can expect from the deal is Saigon's collaboration with Statik Selektah, All In a Day's Work, an album that was recorded in a 24 hour period, is set to drop March 17th as a digital-only release. (Hip Hop Stan)

Ironically, the New York rapper's last rap battle with Budden saw Sai calling out Amalgam on "Pushing Buddens."

"You a dummy/ Where is he on your new sh*t/ Why he ain't do sh*t/I got ten Just joints/ Super exclusives/ Nobody'll be in the mood for your music/ How is he lyrical/ This coward is pitiful/ Talkin' about he doin' it big on Amalgam Digital." (SOHH)

Amalgam is responsible for releasing Budden's Padded Room earlier this month.

Rapper Joe Budden's long anticipated sophomore album Padded Room arrived on the charts this week at No. 42. After seven days in stores, Budden's second disc sold 13,900 copies. (Sales Wrap)
