Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man reportedly lost one of his vehicles recently as a result of not paying over $50,000 in New York taxes.
Mef's personal truck was taken from the rapper last week.
The repo man got Method Man. The state Department of Taxation seized a 2008 Lincoln Navigator belonging to the rapper and member of the Wu-Tang Clan, who failed to pay $52,503 in personal income taxes. The luxury SUV was taken at 6 a.m. Wednesday (March 18) from Method Man's Staten Island, New York home. (New York Post)
He is the latest hip-hop entertainer to have tax information publicly exposed along with Lil Kim's recent headlines for tax-related problems.
Kim has $979,090 in tax debt. The state of New York filed a $12,599 tax warrant on April 26, 2008, in the New York County Clerk's office. The IRS filed a $50,464 lien on Sept. 5, 2007, in the Bergen (N.J.) County Clerk's office. The IRS filed a $67,509 lien on May 14, 2007, in Bergen County. The state of California filed a $4,089 lien on Sept. 16, 2005, in Sacramento County Court. The IRS filed a $232,348 lien on Aug. 16, 2005, in New Jersey. The state of New Jersey filed a $51,471 lien on Aug. 11, 2005, in New Jersey State Superior Court. The state of New Jersey filed a $77,939 lien on Dec. 9, 2004, in New Jersey Superior Court. Damon Dash and his wife Rachel Roy are on the verge of losing two of their Manhattan homes due to unpaid mortgage debts totaling $7.3 million. A lawsuit filed Monday (August 18) allege both have failed to pay due amounts on their luxury Tribeca condos from January to August, which has resulted in the early steps of foreclosure proceedings. Eastern Savings Bank claims the couple agreed to make monthly payments of $78,500 on the properties. (SOHH)
