News: Lil' Wayne & Jim Jones Heat Up MTV Spring Break 2009

Rap stars Lil Wayne, Jim Jones, Flo Rida and more are billed to perform at this year's MTV Spring Break 2009 festivities in Florida.
The upcoming annual event will kick-off later this month from Panama City Beach.
More live performances than ever from Lil' Wayne, The All-American Rejects, Flo Rida, Asher Roth, Jim Jones and 3OH!3 and many more. Cross channels broadcasting will be MTV, mtvU, MTV2, MTV Tr3s, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, and MTV.com. (PR Newswire)
Along with the stage shows, each day will feature its own special programming.
From Monday, March 23 to Sunday April 5, there will be seven specials airing. Spring Break FNMTV Special: Hosted by Tyson Ritter, this hour-long Spring Break survival guide is packed with music performances and interviews you won't see anywhere else, along with some party-aid advice from the stars. Sucker Free (at PCB): Dirty and hip-hop artists host. Hip-hop videos and live performances (Flo Rida, Asher Roth, Jim Jones, and more.). Other programs include "Wasted Memories," "USA Rock Paper Scissors College Championship," "MtvU," "Rock the Dance" and "Artists Hitlist." (Hip Hop Press)
The forthcoming events will highlight MTV's second annual showcase.
The Boardwalk Beach Resort on Panama City Beach is set to host MTV/mtvU Spring Break 2009 for the second year in a row. MTV and MTVu are set to be in Panama City Beach from March 8-21 and will have the Official Spring Break Village at the Boardwalk Beach Resort. Interested fans over 21 able to hit Panana City Beach for the week of March 9 may enter for a chance to attend the event. Aside from performing in Florida, Lil' Wayne is also slated to kick-off his "I Am Music" tour shortly afterwards.
Beginning March 17 and joined by T-Pain, Keri Hilson, Gym Class Heroes and Gorilla Zoe, Wayne will tour in popular cities including Providence, Newark, Baltimore, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis and Wallingford. (Ticketmaster)
