News: Kanye West To Spread International "Heartbreak" This Summer

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has announced plans to launch an international tour for his album 808s & Heartbreak beginning this summer.
The producer-turned-rapper recently confirmed the tour and described his motivation for last year's popular "Glow in the Dark" tour.
"I get bored with stuff," West said. "The last one was done because I didn't feel like doing a rap show, because of all I was going through in my life. All I felt like was playing with 'Star Wars' (toys) and being Luke Skywalker. So I figured you know, 'I'll do a rap show if I can just be like Luke Skywalker every night.' And so I just wrote my own sci-fi and played in it." Expect new theatrical ideas when West takes to the road this summer. West will launch a European tour featuring his latest album, "808s & Heartbreak," in July and expects the tour to hit the United States by fall. (Associated Press)
Ye is also reportedly preparing the book release of Kanye West: Glow in the Dark serving as a guide to his international travels.
Tentatively scheduled for an October 2009 release, it will chronicle Kanye's journeys around the world as he tours and hits up fashionparties. Photographer Nabil Elderkin also captured him shopping in Asian malls. The book will come with a USB drive of previously unreleased music and will cost $50. (New York Magazine)
The book was previously scheduled to drop earlier this year.
West first met with Rizzoli Publications in May of 2008 to discuss the project, and planned for the initial release of the project in February of 2009 following the conclusion of his tour. But as the concerts were extended, so were the contents of the book. (Fashion Week Daily)
Ye's "Glow in the Dark" tour kicked-off last spring running through the summer.
The tour will be co-headlined by Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, and N.E.R.D., and will continue on for two months making a stop at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City. (Vibe)
