Bone Thugs-N-Harmony manager Steve Lorbel recently filed a lawsuit against fashion company Louis Vuitton after taking a blow to the head at a Kanye West event that took place at their New York City store.
The incident reportedly took place around June 2007 for Ye's birthday celebration.
Steve Lobel, manager of acts like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Nipsey Hussle, says he was knocked on the head when a fixture came crashing down at the posh Louis Vuitton store where the party was held. Lobel sued Louis Vuitton and the party's promoter in Queens Supreme Court last month. The panels were erected in the East 57th Street store to make it look more like a club, according to the suit. Additional parties have also been named in the lawsuit.
The suit, filed in Queens Supreme Court, also names Manhattan events promoter Tony Berger, of Relevent Group LLC. We were aware of the incident. We reported it to our insurance carrier, and it is being handled by them," Berger said. Lobel could not be reached for comment. (New York Daily News)
Lorbel claims to have various connections and relationships with rap entertainers.
"I am a complex individual," Lorbel wrote via his alleged MySpace page. "My complexity is in my simplicity. I am not moved by titles, labels, and names. I'm just a Straight up-Guy who has a deep love for Hip-Hop and more than 20 years of experience in the industry that is birthed. I have friendships and business relationships with Run DMC, Fat Joe, Bone Thugs n Harmony, the Outlawz, Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey and the list goes on. That alone says volumes about an individual." Diddy recently resolved a copyright infringement lawsuit with Louis Vuitton earlier this month.
The two parties reached a deal on Thursday (March 6), with Diddy agreeing to remove all visual references to the trademarks from future releases of the said products in Danity Kane videos and advertisements. Details of the financial settlement have not been disclosed. (All Headline News)
