D12 member Bizarre recently discussed the status of his rap group along with their plan to release a project following Eminem's Relapse album.
The Detroit emcee confirmed that D12 was still together and recording new material for a forthcoming compilation disc.
"Everybody's in D12 and we're doing good," Bizarre told radio personality Jenny Boom Boom. "[A new album] is definitely going to happen. We're working on it right now, Marshall Mathers is coming out first with Relapse...I'm on Eminem's album...I'm recording a couple of songs. Big up to Dr. Dre." (Jenny Boom Boom)
The upcoming project will follow-up 2004's D12 World.
After a three-year wait, the group returned with D12 World, including guest appearances from Obie Trice and B Real. D12 was originally founded by members Bizarre and Proof around 1990, but the size and scope of the group expanded when Proof brought in childhood friend Eminem followed by Swift, Kon Artis, Bugz and Kuniva. D12 recently made headlines after avoiding a lawsuit against former associate and manager Kenyatta Hudson who claimed the group financially cheated him.
The Michigan Court of Appeals Friday (March 20) opinion confirmed an earlier ruling by a Wayne County Circuit Court judge that Hudson can't enforce his contract as Moore's manager because he was never licensed as a personnel agent as required under Michigan law. The three-judge panel also ruled that Hudson had no claim of unjust enrichment against [Eminem] and the others." (Detroit News)
Hudson has since reacted to the unfavorable decision against him.
"I think the courts are wrong in what they are saying," Hudson said. "I haven't spoken with my lawyer yet, but this is going to have to go to higher ground because there's just no way for them to have found the way they did. I had a contract with D12 and that is not being honored. In America, we are supposed to honor contracts." Hudson wouldn't be specific, but said the argument is over "millions of dollars." (Six Shot)
