Akon and Diddy have both expressed their efforts and willingness to work with Chris Brown despite the negative attention he's received since his publicized domestic dispute with Rihanna.
The Konvict label head said he would be willing to make music with the male pop star.
"Oh, absolutely!" Akon said in a phone interview Monday (March 9). "I wouldn't take anybody's personal issues or problems-- I won't hold them accountable for that when it comes to work. I think it's two separate things." (USA Today)
Diddy recently confirmed lending his Miami home to Brown and Rihanna in hopes of them settling their differences.
"It was a dark time for them and I was there as more of a support," Diddy said in an interview on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show." "It's my house, and I'm allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to...I don't cast a stone...cast judgment on anybody. So, if friends ask me for a favor, then I'm going to be there for a favor as long as I know the energy of the favor is positive." (Ellen DeGeneres Show)Academy Award-winning singer Jamie Foxx has recently expressed his feelings about domestic violence.
"To all the women in Philly that's hurtin'," Foxx said in an interview, "No man should ever put their hands on you. No man should ever touch a woman for any situation. I don't care if he's eight years old on the playschool ground or if he's 19, 36, 100 years it doesn't matter." (Entertainment Tonight)Despite the controversy, including a promise to air a show on domestic violence by Oprah Winfrey, Brown and Rihanna are reportedly in the studio together recording music.
The seemingly reconciled duo have been working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, due out later this year, a studio source tells E! News. "They've been working on it together," the insider says. We have also learned that award-winning record producer Polow Da Don, who has worked with Brown in the past, has been holed up with them at a Santa Monica recording studio for the past several days. (E! Online)Brown is scheduled to appear in court next month on two felony charges.
