Usher was up for one Grammy this year in the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance category but he lost the award to Ne-Yo.
Las Vegas R&B singer Ne-Yo, who was nominated for six Grammys, picked up two awards for his hit single "Miss Independent." The song earned awards for male R&B vocal solo and R&B song, beating out songs by Trey Songz and Usher.
