News: Jennifer Hudson & Seal Billed To Perform At NAACP Image Awards

R&B singers Jennifer Hudson and Seal have been chosen to perform at the upcoming 40th National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards.
The soulful duo will help ignite the forthcoming televised showcase.
Jennifer Hudson has plans, along with Seal, to take the stage at the NAACP Image Awards. The ceremony coincides with the NAACP's 100th anniversary, and will kick-start the organization's centennial celebration, which will last throughout 2009. The NAACP Image Awards show airs Thursday, February 12 at 8 PM ET on FOX. (Extra TV)
Hudson is also up for various awards at the event.
Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson are competing for outstanding female music artist and for best music video. They are also nominated for supporting film actress, Keys and Hudson for The Secret Life of Bees and Knowles for Cadillac Records. (Billboard)
She currently leads the showcase with the most nominations.
Hudson took home nods in both recording and motion picture categories, as did her direct competition--and onetime costars--Beyonce Knowles, who bagged six nods, and Alicia Keys, who earned four. (E! Online)

Hudson will later kick-off her first-ever solo tour this spring.
