The brother of Black Eyed Peas' Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda Lindo was fatally shot while in the Phillippines.
A local autority has confirmed the murder.
Chief Inspector Wilfredo Paulo said Joven Pineda Deala was shot in the head early Tuesday as he and his girlfriend were eating in his car that was parked outside the woman's home in Angeles City. He says the gunman and his accomplice escaped on foot. The 21-year-old Deala died on the way to the hospital. (Associated Press)
Apl's brother was reportedly very close to him.
Joven is the youngest in the brood and is said to be the favorite brother of Apl.de.ap, an abandoned son of a black American serviceman in the former Clark Air Base just outside the village of Sapang Bato where the rapper built a home. The wake for Joven is held there. (Show Biz & Style)
Authorities are currently investigating the murder.
Police are still searching for a suspect and do not yet have a motive for the killing, though various media outlets have reported the murder may have been the result of a love triangle. Apl, 34, is expected to fly to the Philippines to attend his sibling's wake and burial. (E! Online)
