News: Wyclef Jean Goes Green, Tagged To Headline Inaugural Ball In DC

Multi-platinum selling rapper Wyclef Jean has been chosen to perform at the upcoming Green Inaugural Ball event in Washington, DC.
Wyclef is billed to perform at the celebration for his connection with its audience.
"We are ecstatic to have Wyclef perform on the 17th. As one of TreeHugger.com's 'Top 5 Most Buzzworthy Green Musicians,'" co-producer Stephanie Campbell said in a statement, "he is the perfect fit for an event that is not just green in name, but also in design and implementation."
The event will have an environment friendly setting.
The Green Inaugural Ball, hosted by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery, will bring together more than 75 environmental, labor, business, civil justice, and community organizations and sponsors to celebrate the strength and diversity of those committed to creating a new clean economy.
