Former Byrd Gang rapper Max B, has been further implicated in a murder that took place durring a botched robbery in New Jersey two years ago.
His former girlfriend told authorties on Tuesday (January 12) about the incident.
Gina Conway and two others were charged with murder after a botched robbery at the Holiday Inn on Route 4 ended in the shooting death of one of the victims in September 2006. Conway met David Taylor and Allan "Jay" Plowden and told her boyfriend that the two men drove flashy cars and carried a lot of cash. The boyfriend, Charly "Max B" Wingate then recruited an associate to rob Taylor and Plowden, prosecutors said. Conway, whose trial was scheduled to start this week in Superior Court in Hackensack, decided to take a plea offer, telling a judge Tuesday that she was at the hotel with the associate, Kelvin Leerdam. Max was previously arrested in September 2006 for murder charges in the same case.
He was arrested after prosecutors said Wingate organized the robbery and murder of a man in Fort Lee on September 22. Taylor was killed by a gunshot to the head, while Plowden was bound with duct tape. Wingate's lawyer questioned the validity of the evidence against his client and maintained that Wingate wasn't even in the state at the time of the shooting. (MTV)
