A document showing rap star Lil' Wayne's venue and hotel accommodations for concert promoters recently leaked online.
The "Greatest Rapper Alive" requires a four-page detailed list of catering needs for his scheduled performances.
"The performer, who gets half his six-figure fee in cash before a show, demands that he be lodged in the "Presidential Suite" of a "5 star hotel," the document reads. "His room must be at least 1000 square feet, and the living room and bedroom have to be separated by a door. Promoters must also be prepared to provide a "chartered Lear JET" for Lil Wayne and his entourage. The performer's dressing room needs to be "without oder" and stocked with two bottles of Hennessy cognac ("XO Only!!!"). He also requires two bottles of Perrier-Jouet champagne. As for security, Lil Wayne needs a two-vehicle police escort from the airport, and to and from the hotel and the concert venue. (The Smoking Gun)
Despite stellar concert performances, Weezy is known to offer let downs for concert promoters.
Rapper Lil' Wayne has canceled a scheduled appearance at the Blue Cross Arena for the third time. Jeff Calkins, the arena's general manager, said he had not yet heard a reason for canceling the concert, which was set for Wednesday. Refunds are available at the point of sale: Consumers may take tickets to the Blue Cross box office or contact Ticketmaster (585-232-1900) by Feb. 6. (Democrat & Chronicle)
He has recently been seen on the nationwide "I Am Music" tour.
The cross country tour will feature special appearances by T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes and Keri Hilson. Beginning on the East Coast, Weezy will make stops in Houston, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte and other spots before ending in January. (SOHH)
