News: Koch Expands Empire W/ Five New Labels, Bun B On Deck

Koch Entertainment has announced the signing of five urban record labels, which includes records from Bun B, MJG and others.
The company's new business venture will extend their roster of active artists.
Koch Ent. Distribution newly acquired labels include Nina Easton's IMG International/404 Music Network, Tenacity Records, Unruly Records, Greenstreets Entertainment and Doc Music Group. IMG acts include the D Boyz (Lac & Stone); Boo (from Boo & Gotti); the Bloc $tarz; and Memphis rapper MJG of the rap duo 8 Ball & MJG. Doc Music Group will release records by Bun B & Middle Fingaz, Grit Boys, DJ.GT, and Lil Kano, among others, in 2009. (Billboard)
Despite being listed as an artist in the deal, Bun B clarified his relationship with Koch.
"I do not have a label situation with Koch Records," he said. "They are trying to release a mixtape from a group affiliated with me. I am only featured on the project. I have not been a part of any negotiations with this project. Hopefully this statement clears any misunderstandings." (All Hip Hop)
Koch is known for signing popular labels including The Lox's D-Block Records and Fat Joe's Terror Squad Imprint in October 2007.
