News: Kid Cudi Lives "American" Dream, To Star In New HBO Series

G.O.O.D. Music rapper, Kid Cudi is set to star in a new HBO series titled How To Make It In America.
In a recent blog entry, Kid Cudi announced that he will make his acting debut in a new television series being produced by the team behind Entourage.
"The pilot that I was casted in a couple months ago jus (sic) got picked up by HBO. I will be co starring along side my fam Bryan Greenberg, Victor Rasuk, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Shannyn Sossamon in HBO's new comedy series How To Make It in America."
"My character's name is Domingo Dean and he's good friends with main characters Ben (played by Mr. Bryan Greenberg) and Cam (played by Mr. Victor Rasuk)... My role is def comic relief and then some lol so I'm excited. (KidCudi.com)
HBO officially picked up the male-centered comedy late last month.
HBO did some serious holiday shopping the past two days. The pay cable network picked up two series a pair of male-centered comedies: How to Make It in America and Bored to Death.
How to Make It in America revolves around a pair of enterprising twentysomethings who hustle their way through New York determined to achieve the American dream. (Reuters)
Cudi, who is signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. music label was featured on Ye's recent album 808's and Heartbreak. He's currently prepping his debut album for a 2009 release.
"Man on the Moon: The Guardians," he said, revealing his album title. "It's about my rise, my birth until now, present day. Me growing up, not knowing that this would be my destiny. All my hardships growing up and kinda becoming one with myself. Finding inner peace, being comfortable in my own skin, becoming an individual. And coming from the moon, which would be my own little world, it starts off from there and goes to a whole 'nother level. (MTV)
