Incarcerated rap star DMX recently revealed his post-prison plans, which he says is in line with his spiritual leanings.
X says he hopes to use TV show to make a connection with people.
"I'm gonna start a TV show while I'm in here, "Pain and Perseverance." It's about how I can reach people the average person can't reach because I'm grounded. And then I'm going to give my first sermon in church, that's gonna be like, incredible for me," X said. "I have actually just completed a gospel album. On every one of my albums, there's been a gospel song and a prayer and of course with the image, they never made those into singles, except for my sixth album. They did "Lord Give Me A Sign" as a single." (Fox 10 News)
X has been behind bars in Arizona since late December.
DMX has pleaded guilty to multiple drug possession, theft and animal cruelty charges as part of a deal to settle three cases against him. The 38-year-old - whose real name is Earl Simmons - also agreed not to own any animals or possess firearms. He faces a minimum of 90 days in jail when he returns to an Arizona court for sentencing on 30 January. (BBC)
