News: Amy Winehouse Done W/ "Rehab," Preps New Material

Grammy-winning singer Amy Winehouse recently revealed she is now completely drug-free.
Winehouse promised her publicized drug-based past is finally over and hinted at recording new music.
"I'm off the drugs for good. I've finally escaped from hell. I'm in love again and I don't need drugs," she said. "All I've done is read books, sunbathe and drink cocktails. But it's made me feel like concentrating on my career again. Most nights I've done a few songs on the piano for a laugh but I'm starting to think about recording again. I want to capture how happy I am right now in some new songs." News of the World)
The multi-platinum selling performer is reportedly vacationing in the Caribbean's St. Lucia.
Winehouse has no plans to leave the resort where she landed following a very lengthy hospital stay for what her reps termed as a "bad reaction to medication." (New York Daily News)
Despite the singer's renewed self, her husband is reportedly divorcing Winehouse.
Blake Fielder-Civil has asked his lawyer, Henri Brandman, to get the wheels turning on divorce papers by citing adultery -- after Amy has been spotted hooking up with a 21-year-old dude while vacationing in St. Lucia. (TMZ)
No information has been released on new music from Winehouse.
