Academy Award-nominated actor Will Smith is reportedly preparing to sign on for sequels to his blockbuster films Hancock and I Am Legend.
"He is ready to do both," a Hollywood insider told Post. "Producers are just trying to get Charlize Theron to sign on for the Hancock sequel."
As previously reported by SOHH, Smith will re-join I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence for a prequel which has made over $536 Mil at the box office. The movie will reportedly outline the spread of the virus that figured heavily into the plot of the original as well has the relationship between the main characters.
Despite no official announcement from Smith, a rep for the actor claims "there have been talks about both of these projects." The rep has yet to confirm an official production date.
In related news, Smith's new flick, Seven Pounds, hits theaters this week and follows Smith as a depressed IRS agent who goes on a mission to help out seven strangers.
Seven Pounds is currently scheduled to be released on Friday, December 19.
