New York: R&B Superstars Headline Dick Clark's New Year's Eve special

Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Solange Knowles and more have been tagged to perform on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" special later this month.

According to Associated Press, the annual ABC live broadcast will take place this year from Times Square in New York City. Television legend Dick Clark and co-host Ryan Seacrest lead the music themed evening into 2009.

Offering fans "Hollywood Party" segments, Black Eyed Peas' Fergie will help host performances by various guests including Pussycat Dolls, Fall Out Boy, Lionel Richihe, Natasha Bedingfield, Jesse McCartney and more.

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" special is scheduled to air Wednesday, December 31 at 10 p.m. EST.

In related news, Ludacris and T.I. have teamed up to perform on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly." The Atlanta-bred emcees will help headline Carson Daly's annual ceremony alongside performers like "I Kissed A Girl" singer Katy Perry as they welcome in 2009.
