News: Lupe Fiasco Warms Chicago Kids W/ Coat Drive

Grammy winning rapper Lupe Fiasco has helped provide warmth for hundreds of children this winter by giving away coats in Illinois.
According to ABC's WLS, the Chicago-bred emcee donated $5,000 to purchase the clothing items for kids throughout his native hometown. Lupe reportedly said he wanted to give back to deserving families in Chi-town.
Along with the initial coats, the "Superstar" rapper is expected to be on-hand to help pass out more coats throughout the West Side area where he was raised later today (December 29).
In related news, Lupe was recently announced as a nominee at the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony next year with four nods. He is being nominated in categories including "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration," "Best Rap Album" and "Best Rap Solo Performance" for tracks from 2007's The Cool.
The 51st Grammy Awards show is scheduled to air Sunday, February 8, 2009 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
