R&B singer Keri Hilson recently spoke on her role opening up for Lil' Wayne's nationwide "I Am Music" tour.

In an interview with Access Atlanta, the Southern-bred songstress revealed the overall reaction she's received from fans performing along with the tour's billed superstars including T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes and Gorilla Zoe.

"So far, so great," Hilson told Access. "The response has been growing with every city."

Despite playing the role of the concert opener, Hilson respects her position on the multi-city journey. "I'm the scrub of this tour," she added. "The freshman. And I feel like it. But it's not a bad season opener at all. I'm very grateful."

Hilson also addressed the rumors on her over-delayed debut album and debunked all gossip alleging release dates.

"I've had a really great, great year as a new artist. Yeah, my [debut] album still hasn't come out...and the release date is still unknown.... But this tour has reignited the performer in me. I'm living my dream every night."

As previously reported by SOHH, the "I Am Music" tour began earlier this month along the East Coast, and has been scheduled to make stops in Houston, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte and other spots before ending in mid-January.

Tickets for the tour can be purchased at "I Am Music" tour's next stop is tonight (December 30) at Wasington, DC's Verizon Center.
