News: Jermaine Dupri Honored W/ Bill of Rights Award

Mega producer Jermaine "JD" Dupri will be honored with the prestigious 2008 Bill of Rights Award next week in California.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California will pay homage and show recognition for JD's extensive achievements in music, having worked with superstars including Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Usher and more.
In addition to music contributions, the artist will be sharing the award will be NBA legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson as both men are honored for their community encouragements and development. Along with being a member of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, JD has worked to repeal the Rockerfeller Drug Laws, helped raise profits for the Hurricane Relief Fun and has maintained an active voice for the "Rap the Vote" campaign.
Upon receiving the award, the Grammy winning record producer will join the ranks of past recipients including Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Antonio "LA" Reid, Rosa Parks, Dustin Hoffman, Oliver Stone and more.
The ACLU event is scheduled for Monday, December 8 in Beverly Hills.
