Academy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson has been announced to perform at next year's 51st Grammy Awards ceremony.
According to Variety, the R&B superstar will likely make her first public appearance since the tragic loss of her family earlier this year. Hudson will help perform a tribute to famed singer Neil Diamond alongside other artists including Adele, Foo Fighters, Josh Groban and more.
In addition to performing, the Chicago-bred singer is also up for multiple nominations including "Best R&B Album" and "Best R&B Vocal Performance."
"It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing," Hudson recently said in a statement. "I'm extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."
Other announced performers at the event include country star Tim McGraw and Raul Malo.
In related news, Lil' Wayne will lead all in Grammy nominations, with a total of eight.
Other notable nominees include Jay-Z, Kanye West and Ne-Yo with six nods along with Lupe Fiasco with four.
Newcomer Jazmine Sullivan will compete for "Best New Artist" while M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" will face off against Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" for "Record of the Year."
The 51st Grammy Awards show is scheduled to air Sunday, February 8, 2009 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
