News: Beyonce Announces European Tour, Nominated For Golden Globe

On the heels of her announcement of her upcoming European tour, R&B superstar Beyonce has received a nomination for a Golden Globe award. 

Beyonce has received a Golden Globe nomination for next month's annual ceremony. She will compete against competitors like Bruce Springsteen in the "Best Original Song" category for co-writing the record "Once in a Lifetime" from Cadillac Records, according to Billboard.

The Grammy-winning singer will also treat international fans to a 22-venue tour performing in countries including Holland, Denmark, England, Germany, France, Sweden and other locations.

Reportedly performing her popular hits, the tour's focus will be set on showcasing music from Beyonce's latest album, I Am...Sasha Fierce as designer/director Thierry Mugler joins as the creative advisor and costume designer.

The upcoming concerts will precede a summer North America tour and is scheduled to begin Sunday, April 26 in Zagreb running through May 31.  

The 2009 Golden Globe Awards is scheduled to air live Sunday, January 11 via NBC.
