New York: Common & Erykah Badu Back Together For Jazz Fest

Former couple Common and Erykah Badu will once again cross paths at the upcoming New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this spring.
According to Billboard, the duo are billed to appear and help celebrate its' 40th anniversary amongst the likes of additional entertainers including Ben Harper, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Earth, Wind & Fire plus more.
Known for recognizing contributions and the growth of jazz, this year's event will feature performances by well-known artists including Aretha Franklin, Dave Matthews Band, Tony Bennett, the Nevile Brothers and others.
Taking place on the weekends of April 24 to 26 and April 30 to May 3 at Fair Grounds Race Course, tickets will become available via NOJazzFest.com.
In related news, Common's new album Universal Mind Control hit store shelves last Tuesday (December 9) and the Chi-town rapper recently spoke with SOHH about his presence in hip-hop.
"It feels like each time there's a new album, it's a new beginning," Common told SOHH. "I think that being an artist has been a way for me to, to really fulfill some of my life's purposes and I really want to go out and make change in the world."
