In a strange turn of events, rap star 50 Cent has hinted at his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, as a possible suspect in his Long Island home being destroyed by fire last May.

Speaking in an interview with Access Hollywood, 50 revealed details about the residence prior to it burning down and why Tompkins may have resorted to extreme measures. "The courts told her she had to leave," 50 said. "It's kind of more like, 'If I can't have you, you can't have it."

Carefully watching his words, the platinum-selling rapper hinted at his ex-girlfriend's possible involvement with the home's destruction saying, "the circumstances to it might seem that way."

As previously reported by SOHH, Tompkins and her son, Marquis, she shares with 50, were residing in the house when it reportedly caught fire last May and were rushed to a hospital suffering smoke inhalation.

In related news, the G-Unit leader hit Spike TV's sixth annual "Video Game Awards" ceremony last weekend performing amongst the likes of LL Cool J, All-American Rejects and Weezer.
