News: Breaking News: Man Accused Of Murdering Jennifer Hudson's Family Denied Parole
Monday, Nov 10, 2008 11:28AM
William Balfour, the primary suspect in the slaying of Jennifer Hudson's family, has been denied the right to leave prison on account of violating his parole.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the Illinois Prisoner Review Board decided the 27 year-old violated his 1999 attempted murder conviction due to his current girlfriend claiming she witnessed him with a gun that linked to being the murder weapon.
Another key reason Balfour will remain behind bars is for being spotted in locations known for drug selling which relates to a June 19 drug arrest. Despite being taken in at the time, his parole had not been revoked then.
While an official confession has yet to develop, law enforcement officials claim Balfour has admitted to being near the Hudson home the morning when the singer's mother, Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and seven year-old nephew, Julian King were gunned down.
Balfour's girlfriend has reportedly informed police officials that he has confessed to being involved in the murders.
His next hearing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, December 3.
As previously reported by SOHH, the Academy Award winning singer lost her three family members on October 24.
