Making her eighth consecutive cancellation, Janet Jackson has once again missed another highly-anticipated date on her "Rock Witchu" tour Monday night (October 13) in New York and has canceled another one for later this week, at Madison Square Garden.
According to the Associated Press, the platinum selling singer was scheduled to make her return at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, New York following a previous rescheduled concert over the weekend in Connecticut. However, hours before the event, a message placed on the venue's web site announced the show's cancellation due to orders from Jackson's doctor.
While she is scheduled to perform Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington DC, the R&B superstar has already begun canceling future date including Thursday's event at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden.
Since becoming suddenly ill late last last month in Canada, Jackson's fans have bombarded her MySpace page to wish the singer well and to express their concern over her well-being.
"Hey Janet....I really want you to heal properly," one fan wrote. "If you have to cancel the tour then cancel....Your health is more important........Get better soon!!!!!l.......luv ya....Your #1 fan......Alisa ;-)"
Some fans have even hoped the reports of her health have been fabricated.
"I have Tickets for the October 16th Show and I'm praying that the rumors are untrue of the concert being cancelled and rescheduled for a later date???....," another fan wrote.
"Please get better soon, I am so worried about you," a fan from Florida said. "I can't wait to see you in Fort Lauderdale."
Janet's "Rock Witchu" tour marks the 42 year-old singer's first time on the road in seven years.
