R&B hit maker The-Dream has officially announced plans to release his second album Love vs. Money this winter.
According to Billboard, the singer will follow-up his widely-acclaimed debut Love/Hate with a project showing fans and critics alike how much he has progressed within a year.
"In the beginning I was just having fun," he told Billboard. "I didn't want people thinking too hard, I just wanted them to gravitate toward my lyrics. But this time my vocals are different. I've definitely grown in my singing."
Popular
for making mega records like "Shawty Is Da Sh*t" and "Falsetto," the
Def Jam artist admits his song penning skills this time around has
given certain label executives some issues, in a good way.
"L.A. Reid
has lots of problems on his desk; he's definitely having a hard time
choosing," he added. "It's such a great album that he's considering
releasing two singles, one for pop and one for R&B."
While
tracks are still being recorded, the Atlanta, Georgia singer has
already clocked in studio time with well-known producers including Lil' Jon, Tricky Stewart and LOS Da Maestro who takes credit for a majority of the beats from Dream's first release.
Love vs. Money is currently scheduled to hit stores Tuesday, December 16 via Def Jam.
