If you believe Fox News *smirk* Beyonce and her Dadager (Dad/manager for the slow folks) have been "strong arming" songwriters for publishing rights. The latest word is that Bey jacked her new single "If I Were A Boy" from a young unsigned singer by the name of BC Jean. BC allegedly wrote the melody and lyrics for the song, which is the first single off Bey's third album I Am...
The grapevine is claiming that BC didn't even realize the song her song had been swiped until recently. She originally recorded a dozen or so songs with German producer Toby Gad for his album, but Gad walked away with them and shopped them to major artists instead.
Now insiders tongues are wagging that Matthew Knowles aggressively pursued the publishing rights to the potential hit record with the goal of getting the rights to the song and putting Beyonce's name on the writing credits. According to sources, part of the deal is that the two singers will duet on BC Jean's debut album once she gets her own recording deal.
Rebel Talking... Whoa Bey, maybe you should change your album title to I Am... A Thief. Just sayin'! If this ain't some mess straight outta Dreamgirls...

Janet Jackson's "Rock Witchu" tour doesn't seem to be starting back up anytime soon after grinding to an abrupt halt after Janet's hospitalization in Montreal weeks ago.
According to New York's Daily News, the singer has once again postponed a series of performances, this time due to a doctor's orders. Jackson was scheduled to resume concerts on Monday night at Turning Stone Resort in New York after canceling a slew of shows over the weekend in Connecticut but at the last minute, a message posted on the website of the casino and resort said that the show had been canceled at the advice of Jackson's doctor. Since then, she's postponed several shows, including her appearance at Madison Square Garden this Thursday.
All dates on her "Rock Witchu" will be rescheduled, though, according to promoters. Strangely enough, everyone has been staying mum on just what exactly is wrong with Janet. [Update - Janet's sickness revealed here]

"Run's House" fans should be happy to hear that Rev. Run's oldest daughters have their own reality series on the way. Angela and Vanessa Simmons have confirmed their new MTV spin-off "Daddy's Girls," which will follow their "lives in L.A. and what's going on with us," since leaving the nest behind. Expect exciting adventures such as the girls work evolving 'Pastry' shoe and clothing line into another more grown-up brand, Vanessa continuing to pursue her acting dreams and Angela serving as executive editor of her magazine Angela's Rundown while also giving music a try.
Rebel Talking... Love the Simmons family, but this ish sounds more boring than "The Hills". Maybe Bow Wow can liven up the set with some of those adult film actresses he's been hanging out with on "Entourage."

Is it possible that Michael Jackson made songs like "Dirty Diana" and "Bad" for "Brady Bunch" blonde Maureen McCormick - aka Marcia Brady?

Janet Jackson resumes tour after bout of vertigo

WASHINGTON -- Janet Jackson took the stage to exploding fireworks, clouds of smoke and the sounds of some early hits Wednesday in her first concert since she was sidelined for two weeks by a bout of vertigo.
Jackson opened the show at the Verizon Center with "Pleasure Principle," followed by "What Have You Done for Me Lately" from her 1986 album "Control." Soon after, she played her latest single, "Feedback."
"It feels so good to be back after being down just a little bit," Jackson told the crowd at one pause.
The high-energy show went smoothly, but Jackson did appear winded at times. At one point, she paused to admire her backup dancers, and the audience roared with approval.
Jackson's publicist said Wednesday she has been suffering from migraine-associated vertigo, which led to her canceling a string of shows. She is being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.
"She's a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect," Jackson's manager, Kenneth Crear, said in a release. "She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again to finish the tour."
Crear said in Jackson is feeling better and ready to continue her first North American tour in seven years. Upcoming stops include Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, New York and East Rutherford, N.J.

Do you believe that Bey is the only singer to be sued for plagiarism? It has happened to nearly every artist and yes, some of the biggest names ever in the business. Many of these claims are unfounded, others may be valid. Let's wait to hear what the evidence is before you jump to conclusions?
As far as Janet, she his not dumping Jermaine Dupri! They are together. As to what her illness is, that really is no one else's business but hers and her family. If she feels that the nature of her illness needs to be disclosed, she will do so. We do have medical privacy laws in this country (HIPAA) or have you heard?!
Marcia dating Michael? Why in the world is that so hard to believe?!!! A lot of girls of all races were running after the Jacksons back in the 70s and 80s. Michael was a cute young thing. And he's still sexy at 50. There was nothing sordid between Michael and Maureen McCormick. They only went on a few innocent dates. After all, they were just teens. And just so you know,his name is MICHAEL JACKSON! Get it right and show him the respect he deserves!!! If Michael ever asked me, I'd be glad to give it up to him any day of the week!
