Famed Hip-Hop band The Roots, alterna-rap/rock group the Gym Class Heroes and critically acclaimed British songstrees Estelle have all joined forces for a North American tour.

Coming together to offer a fusion of hip-hop, rock and soul, the three acts will be performing in major cities throughout the nation including Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and Detroit. Expressing her excitement, Estelle revealed to SOHH what fans may expect.

“The tour is going to be crazy,” she told SOHH. “We’re going all over America and we’re doing other little lounge shows me and Gym Class Heroes. It’s gonna be fun. You’re gonna see real real music, real real artists.”

Also in attendance at the event was Gym Class Heroes co-founder and drummer Matt McGinnley who confessed to a few wardrobe changes and anticipation for the tour.

“It’s a little bit different than our tour with Fall Out Boy. The pants aren’t as tight on this tour,” he told SOHH. “I think for fans it makes a really interesting bill. It’s definitely, in my opinion, one of the top tours of the fall because we also have Estelle on it who is like amazing right now.”

The nation wide tour begins tonight in Baltimore and runs through November 1.

In related news, the Gym Class Heros’ recently released their fourth album The Quilt last month, which reached No. 14 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart with over 30,000 copies sold in their first seven days. The group’s lead singer Travis McCoy hit up SOHH to talk about the LP’s sales.

“We did triple what our last record did our first week so we’re excited,” McCoy told SOHH. “We definitely put our heart and soul into this record and we were bless with the company of a lot of artists we look up to. I don’t think we necessarily sat down and said lets make a more hip-hop or a more urban record it’s just another evolution of Gym Class Heroes.”

The disc features a heavy line-up of artists including The Dream, Estelle, Busta Rhymes plus production from Cool & Dre.
