The net has been buzzing about the recent rumor that Busta Rhymes was dropped from Interscope Records. Amid the speculation, SOHH caught up with the label to try and get a clear answer.
Thisis50.com reported that according to inside sources at Interscope Records, Busta was let go just days after a heated phone conversation with label president Jimmy Iovine.
That source is unnamed. And as of yet, the label is playing it safe.
"I can't confirm or deny anything," a label rep told SOHH this afternoon.
Busta's management company Violator also had no comment on the situation.
Busta's new album Blessed is still slated to hit shelves in August. The project features contributions from Linkin Park, Dr. Dre, Green Lantern, Cool & Dre, Nottz, Timbaland and Pharrell.
Stay tuned to SOHH as the story develops.
