G.O.O.D. Music affiliate 2 Chainz has updated fans on the status of his upcoming Lil Wayne joint album ColliGrove.
Without locking in an exact drop date, Deuce promised the project would arrive soon.
“As far as the ColliGrove project, I really feel like the music is tight and accessible. Wayne has always been one of my favorite rappers. We’re just doing some mixing and trying to grind up. Ultimately, I’m in a very, very happy state right now. I’m very pleased with the trajectory of my career. I’m pleased with what I’m doing in the community. Just know that ColliGrove is coming very soon, and it’s going to be filled with entertainment bars, great sounds, great vibes.” (Forbes)
Chainz recently hosted his 6th Annual Street Execs charity event and surprised attendees with a few vocals from the mystery project.
Last night in Atlanta, 2 Chainz and the Street Execs hosted their 6th annual Street Execs Charity Concert giving back to the community. During the event, some of Atlanta’s top acts performed and gave back to the city of Atlanta but the man of the hour was none other than 2 Chainz. (YouTube)
Deuces promised his loyalty to Wayne and showed off a handful of pics alongside Weezy F. Baby on Instagram a few weeks ago.
A few weeks ago, Deuce talked about his upcoming solo album and announced plans to work with Wayne on a joint effort.
“It’s gonna be called B.C., like B.C. and A.D. B.C. is Before Chainz,’ obviously. A.D. would be like After the Dope Game,’ After the drugs, everything is a different feel. But B.C. is done. It’s Tity Boi. It’s nostalgic,” Chainz said in an interview. “Then I got Collegroove. That’s the project me and [Lil] Wayne working on. That’ll be out probably sooner than people think.” (Rap Radar Podcast)
